Thank you to all who attended the launch of my "Taking Responsibility" campaign on Saturday. For those who missed it I made two important announcements about the conduct of the campaign.
After the October 6th election I want to look back and say, "We started off right". This means that my campaign will take responsibility for public tax dollars, and will not accept the 15% government subsidy. Our campaign will be funded completely by individual donations from supporters.
Our decision to be fiscally responsible means that we need your financial support more than ever. If you believe that Bruce-Grey needs a free and independent voice, then please donate today. We are currently raising funds to cover our postcard mailing.
I have also decided not to participate in the "sign contest" that is disrespectful of voters' intelligence and litters the countryside. Our campaign will put up a limited number of selectively placed signs which will be removed and re-used or recycled after the election.
Rather than requesting a sign, I invite you to engage more directly in the campaign by passing on the "taking responsibility" message. Please forward campaign emails to your contacts and volunteer to help with the campaign in your community.
Thank you for your support. Together we can restore true local representation at Queen’s Park.
